The American Tech Association (ATA) announced the appointment of Michael Lavie Salomon as General Partner, marking a significant milestone in ATA's commitment to helping international technology companies scale successfully in the U.S. market.
This appointment accompanies ATA's strengthened partnerships across Israel and Europe, expanding its reach while collaborating with venture firms, corporate partners, and innovation agencies to support growth-stage companies entering the United States.
Michael Lavie Salomon brings a decade of experience leading innovation across cybersecurity, fintech, healthcare, agriculture, and other high-growth industries. He has guided more than 500 companies and led 28 cross-vertical innovation initiatives. Previously, Michael worked on establishing two thriving innovation centers in healthcare and agriculture, fostering collaboration between academia, government, and private enterprise to accelerate impactful technologies.
According to the U.S. Bureau of Economic Analysis (BEA), foreign investors spent $151 billion in 2024 to acquire, establish, or expand U.S. businesses — contributing to a total foreign direct investment position of $5.71 trillion by year-end.
Yet fewer than 10% of startups achieve sustainable scale in the United States, according to the Startup Genome 2024 Report. This underscores the challenge of expanding into new markets without the right frameworks, connections, or access to capital.
The American Tech Association was created to close this gap — by providing growth-stage founders with access to capital, investor connectivity, strategic guidance, and the operational frameworks required to build lasting success in the U.S.
“Entering the U.S. market is not merely about ambition — it's about strategy, experience, and access. ATA provides international founders with the clarity, structure, and trusted relationships they need to succeed in the largest yet most competitive market in the world.”
— Michael Lavie Salomon, General Partner, American Tech Association
